Steven Jay Matz

I had a very similar experience to the other reviewer. Mr. Matz was very forthcoming via e-mail but once I hired him he handed me over to a junior partner without even an introduction or explanation. When I queried this, I was told that he would be aware of everything and be available but neither w...as the case. Although pleasant, the junior partner was not as proactive as I would have liked but my dispute is with Mr. Matz who misrepresented himself. I would be happy to elaborate but this should suffice for now.

My broker recommended that I use Steven for my condo purchase, so I followed his advice. Steven did a great job selling me on the phone, but that was essentially the last I heard from him. He passed me off to an associate and would take my calls or respond to my emails ever again. The guy didn't even... have the decency to show up to my closing. I often tried to reach his partner, Bruce Katz, but he wouldn't really respond either. The few times he did, he sent emails with poor grammar and misspelled words. It's hard to believe that he's even an attorney. I wouldn't ever consider recommending these guys. It's hard to believe that they have a successful firm with all the great attorneys in NYC.
