Jay B. Solomon

I am a partner at Belkin Burden Wenig & Goldman, and formerly a founding member of Klein & Solomon, LLP, a boutique commercial real estate law firm, formed in January 1996. Belkin Burden provides legal counsel for all facets of real estate law, commercial law, leasing, transactions and landlord-tenant proceedings. I am an AV rated attorney, concentrating in trials and appeals in state and federal courts, arbitration and commercial leasing. I have extensive litigation experience in commercial  landlord-tenant law, real estate, commercial litigation, foreclosure and foreclosure defense, cooperative and condominium law, corporate disputes and property restitution. I am a  lecturer on the subject of eviction proceedings in New York, for both national and local continuing education providers, and is a certified instructor in the State of New York. I have also testified as an expert witness on commercial landlord-tenant issues.

Professional affiliations include:  Member, Judiciary Committee of the New York County Lawyers Association; Member, Civil Court Section of the New York County Lawyers Association; Member, American Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association, Association of Arbitrators of the City of New York, and volunteer Arbitrator for the Small Claims Court of the City of New York.
