Chet Ostrowski focuses his practice primarily in the areas of complex commercial, bankruptcy, and consumer finance litigation. Chet has represented both businesses and individuals in commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets, and consumer fraud claims. His bankruptcy litigation experience includes representing creditors in preference and fraudulent transfer actions, non-dischargeability proceedings, and contested matters involving proofs of claim. His consumer finance litigation experience includes representing financial services companies against claims brought by consumers under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and various other federal and state consumer protection and unfair/deceptive acts and practices statutes.
