Jones v. Experian Information Solutions, Inc.
Nov 12, 2013OUTCOME: Case settled.
I represented a victim of identity theft. She called Experian to dispute two accounts appearing on her credit report which did not belong to her. Experian refused to remove the accounts so she sued Ex ... perian. We prevailed on summary judgment, with the judge finding that Experian's "reinvestigation" of the plaintiff's dispute was not "reasonable" as a matter of law and allowed the case to go to trial on the issue of punitive damages.
