A longtime resident of New York City, Dorianne Van Dyke attended NYU and New York Law School. While working toward her juris doctor, Dorianne Van Dyke began working in the legal department at Newsweek Magazine assisting with various intellectual property issues such as licensing, clearance, fair use, and general usage remained with Newsweek for two years following law school before accepting an advisory position with the Media Law Resource Center ("MLRC"), a nonprofit that fights for the First Amendment rights of content creators and media organizations.
