Jane Ruth Schreiber

This woman is purportedly in charge of all AFC. When I tried to lodge a complaint against ersatz AFC for my nine year old, this woman was loathe to communicate and surly about even reading facts I submitted on behalf of my child. Her assistant Deborah told me in the beginning Mrs Schreiber would call... me, a rote standard I believe (and something her assistant would know). She refused to call, refused any calls of mine, and never once corresponded directly with me. She did ask her assistant to request I not send any more documentation of the egregious things my child's attorney did. These things include contact with my kid only twice in 16 months, refusing to forward papers to my ex on behalf of my child, refusing to call my child's therapist back for 4 months, and being unable to read a court no contact order on behalf of my ex with our child. The AFC tried to arrange phone calls despite the order, with a domestic abuser! My daughter has requested copies of her papers, yet no reply from the AFC. My child has tried to fire AFC, due to shoddy representation, to no avail. Mrs Schreiber is not culpable for the lackluster AFC job, she is supposedly responsible for investigations. I filed against AFC in October. I requested opposing counsel be recused from deliberations about AFC. Mrs Schreiber has refused to tell me whether Ken Burrows who is a committee member participated in the investigation, and if he was given paperwork. I never received a reply to my complaint, I asked if there was a finding this week as I never got any correspondance from Jane Schreiber's office. What a coincidence - a letter with a finding the day after I query. How coincidental - no wrong doing despite untold pages documenting incompetent job by AFC (including third party observations from my daughter's objective therapist). Oh, AFC started an email war with the therapist, brazenly and crazily emailing threats to my daughter's therapist over 17 emails in one day. Jane Schreiber sanctions these actions, protecting AFC who perform poorly and deleteriously, despite documentation. This woman protects counsel, she doesn't concern herself with children who are stuck with inferior AFC. How shady is she - Jane Schreiber is refusing to answer if opposing counsel was on the committee - as usual - that deliberated about AFC. Who should hold Jane Schreiber and her office accountable? Do not expect Jane Schreiber to do her job, nor to call, nor to even mail out decisions unprompted. This attorney is emblematic of what is broken in the US legal system today.
