The best attorney I have ever had the pleasure of working with

Tim Collins absolutely deserves every excellent review he has. I found myself in an extremely ugly landlord/tenant dispute- I was being threatened and was terrified of being evicted. Choosing Tim to represent me was the best choice I could have made. He and his team guided me through the every step o...f litigation and fought tirelessly to protect me from my landlord. He was always willing and available to discuss any questions (I had many) in a period of extreme stress and uncertainty, which brought me great comfort and confidence. He always laid out the facts and my options clearly and helped me to make the best choices for my situation. He kept me informed and provided realistic insight every step of the way. Tim won my case and successfully secured me a rent stabilized lease. He saved me from a wrongful eviction and stood up for me at every turn against my predatory landlord. Tim is one of the most well versed and well respected experts in the field of NYC landlord/tenant disputes, and for good reason. His track record of success in past cases, big and small, speaks for itself. He is an honest, caring, hardworking, patient person and an even more talented and wonderful attorney. I would recommend Tim to anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation in a heartbeat. I am so thankful that I chose him as my advocate and I am unbelievably grateful for everything he and his team did for me.

Fighting the Good Fight

I seldom write reviews but had to make an exception for Tim Collins. Tim is an exceptional attorney and one of the most authentic human beings I have ever met. In the legal world, Tim Collins is a rarity. He is fighting the good fight. In the summer of 2018, I found myself in an ugly lawsuit wi...th my commercial landlord, who aggressively tried to evict me from a commercial space. I was distraught, scared, and was not trusting of anyone. I quickly learned that ‘justice’ and the ‘law’ are not the same, and that without a great attorney, you find yourself always on the losing side, no matter what. Commercial landlords have expensive attorneys, and they will eat you alive if you don’t have the right person in your corner. I had initially retained a different attorney and was not satisfied with the representation. Fortunately, through a recommendation of a friend, I found and hired Tim. From the first phone call, the first meeting all the way until the end, Tim was incredibly professional and extremely, extremely knowledgeable of each aspect of the law. He is also a very talented litigator and amazing in court, where every day, every appearance can have an unknown outcome. Handling a case requires legal knowledge of course, but also human soft skills. Tim is amazing in both fields. While Tim is an extremely busy attorney, he always took the time to answer all of my questions, and returned every email and each phone call. I cannot emphasize how important this is when you are in the midst of a lawsuit with all its ups and downs and the emotional strain it puts on your professional and personal life. With Tim, I always felt I was in good hands, and that he had my interest at heart. It was at no point during the lawsuit about ‘winning at all cost’, but rather deciding on the best outcome and choosing the right strategy to get there. To this day, I am very grateful for everything Tim did for us and how well he balanced all aspects.
