I was introduced to Spar & Bernstein from a friend of mine who had a great experience with the firm. I wasn't extremely confident that the law firm could've help because my case was extremely complicated; I entered the country in someone else's name and since had been a law-abiding resident - tak...ing care of my family and paying taxes. Thus, I was petitioning to become a permanent resident, in spite of my illegal entry 15 years ago. In 2012, I went to the office with my case and Mr Bernstein told me that he can help me. As you can imagine, the case involved a lot of paperwork and Mrs. Hemrick was always on top of it - making it clear what I needed and when, to ensure we do not miss key dates. Then, there was a major snag in my case when Mrs. Hemrick filed for my permanent residency status... It was declined due to insufficient evidence of how I entered the country. Mrs. Hemrick reassured me that she would do all that she can to help. I worked tirelessly to get the evidence that was needed and she used that information to file an appeal. Luckily, the case was reopened and after another official interview, I was granted my green-card and permanent residency!
