Crooked Attorney
I was his client when I showed him my Will that had been drawn up by a different attorney. James asked to see it. I handed it to him. He unstapled it and xeroxed it. He said it was for his files. But unstapling a Will invalidates it. He did it so that I would pay him to write a new Will for me....

Replied last June 01, 2022This "review" contains false information. Firstly, In the past ten years, at least, I have not had any clients come to me with an old will. Secondly, if I am preparing a new will for a client, it would replace the old will.

Replied last June 01, 2022The law practice did briefly rent a space in White Plains. This particular person made a purchase in cash from someone who she did not know, did not obtain any identification and had no contact information. The lawsuit was filed, but the individual sued could not be located. The only fee charged was the filing fees.

Terrible Experience
I hired Mr. Costo to represent me in a Landlord/Tenant case. After doing about half the work necessary, without notice or reason, Mr. Costo suddenly stopped working on my case and would not return calls or emails. I filed against him with the Disciplinary Committee and the case is ongoing.

Replied last June 01, 2022I believe this client was accused of renting out her rent controlled apartment. Renting out a rent controlled apartment to third parties is illegal. The landlord dropped the case when I questioned its "evidence". Case was dismissed.
