Was stopped on Riverside Drive for speeding-clocked at “40” in a 25. The officer showed me the radar gun and the digital readout clearly said 39, not 40. I don’t believe I was doing even 39 and the officer said he estimated my speed at 35 mph. I asked when his gun was last calibrated—no answer. I... then told the officer that I was following, at a safe distance, a police tow truck that did not appear to be responding to an emergency-no lights or siren. I assumed that he was going the speed limit. He said that he first clocked the tow truck but did not stop him and that I was in fact the next car behind the truck and he did stop me.
