Biography
Our firm serves clients in the five boroughs and throughout New York State, with a specialty in Family Law, specifically focusing on adoptions and matrimonial law, including prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, high net-worth contested divorce, high conflict divorce, including valuation and distribution of complicated assets, appeals, mediation, custody, domestic violence, child support and visitation. I have dedicated my entire career to helping children and families, first as a Law Guardian at the Legal Aid Society's Juvenile Rights Division in Manhattan, where I often advocated for children in high conflict disputes in hotly contested custody battles. Thereafter, I started my own matrimonial practice, while simultantously representing numerous foster care agencies and adoptive parents. During my practice, I have assisted thousands of special needs children and their families and have also resolved thousands of high conflict custody matters, child abuse and neglect and domestic violence cases. As an expert in adoption, I have been at the center of casing involving drug abuse, spousal abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect. I am a guest lecturer at numerous foster care agencies and adoption conferences, including LGBT centers in the city, Long Island, Westchester and upstate New York. I have authored six children's books on the topics of divorce mediation and adoption. I have been designated a Super Lawyer from 2014-17 and in 2017 was honored to have a cover article in Super Lawyers Magazine about adoptions. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and recipient of numerous awards from adoption agencies.
