Biography
I help people plan for and deal with incapacity and death, so their families can avoid chaos later. My firm's mission is to preserve both family harmony and family assets through thoughtful estate planning.
Our practice focuses on everything related to planning for and dealing with incapacity and death: comprehensive estate planning, special needs planning, elder law, cross-border planning, probate, guardianship, and estate litigation. In real life, these areas rarely stay separate. A family caring for an aging parent may need long-term care planning today, a guardianship tomorrow, and probate later. A parent of a child with special needs must plan for both lifetime care and inheritance. Because we work across all of these areas, we see the whole picture and plan for it.
Before law school, I spent 12 years in senior positions in investment banking and the securities industry at several top Wall Street firms. As a Chartered Financial Analyst [(CFA®)], I understand the tax, accounting, investment, and business issues that shape an estate. That background is especially valuable when a plan involves a family business, a complex portfolio, or assets in more than one country.
I have built a team of attorneys, paralegals, and client intake and operations professionals who share my commitment to our clients. We make responsiveness a priority, and our team brings broad knowledge across every area we practice, so your questions get timely, informed answers.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School. I am admitted to practice in New York and am a member of the New York State Bar Association, including its Trusts and Estates Law Section and Elder Law Section; the New York City Bar Association; and the Brooklyn Bar Association.
