Grateful for his knowledge and attention to detail

A coop real estate matter nearly pushed me over the edge. Mr. Berg was generous with his time and missed nothing in his eloquent defense. Will definitely hire him again for other legal matters.

Incredibly Rude Attorney & Staff

Jay Berg was retained to represent my family's Property Management company in a landlord/tenant issue. Not only did he fail to properly do his job, he was incredibly rude. His receptionist was also impossible, even raising her voice on the phone and becoming fresh for no apparent reason. I would NEVE...R recommend this firm. Not only did they not do their job properly, they were nasty to work with!

This was posted by a disgruntled, former client who was extremely difficult to work with. He was also abusive to my legal assistant, screaming at her on the telephone. As a result of his conduct, I was compelled to move to be relieved as his counsel. This occurred in 2016, and I have not had anything to do with him since. I would just note that his case was handled properly and that no one in this office was ever rude to him.

Go-To-Guy For Responsible, Lawful Guidance

Over the course of two years, Berg guided me throughout a protracted neighbor dispute involving harrassment that threatened to destroy my health and property; the board on which the offender served as an officer looked the other way. Berg's experience in real estate law and commitment to educating ...clients on navigating the court system gave me stamina to focus on building my case for court. Fiercely protective and firmly task centered, diplomatic with difficult people at all times.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
