Noam Korati Biale

I hired Noam to represent me in a very simple matter. Simply to return a phone call from law enforcement because I was in the hospital and was too busy to call them myself and find out what they wanted from me. Somehow that turned into Noam representing me against my wishes and without a retainer on ...a totally different unrelated civil matter during a time when I was medically unable to make my own decisions. I get out of the hospital to an outrageous bill of over 8k for work I did not want him to do and did not agree for him to do. We had a retainer for one matter and without asking me he applied the retainer fee from a different matter to another matter that he was never retained for. I took it to arbitration and the arbitrator found that he had at the very least charged me double what was fair. I was really surprised at Noam's inflexibility to work out this issue. I really put my trust in him and it feels like he took advantage of that. He also really made me feel stupid and like such a jerk for the whole situation I was going through. It was a really difficult time for me and having Noam as my lawyer made it 1000 times more difficult.
