Ms. Mitchell’s practice focuses on general commercial and construction transactions and litigation. Ms. Mitchell represents a broad range of clients, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, officers, directors, and shareholders in contract disputes and labor and employment issues in both state and federal courts and government administrative proceedings. She advises clients on all aspects of construction matters from contract negotiation through project completion, including analyzing and litigating claims involving labor and employment, extra work, non-payment, changed conditions, bond claims, mechanics’ liens and insurance related matters. Ms. Mitchell also handles the negotiation and drafting of construction agreements, and pursues the resolution of construction disputes through mediation and arbitration.
Additionally, Ms. Mitchell has experience representing clients in banking law, consumer law, commercial real estate, breach of contract, and post-judgment litigation and proceedings. Before joining Redmond Law, Ms. Mitchell worked as an associate at a general commercial and post-judgment litigation boutique law firm.
Ms. Mitchell is Co-Chair of the New York County Lawyers’ Association Dispute Resolution Board. Her background in dispute resolution and experience in litigation allows her to efficiently assist clients in evaluating matters and obtain an effective resolution.
Ms. Mitchell earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University and LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, she competed in the William C. Vis International Commercial Moot Competition in Vienna, Austria and mediated cases as part of the Divorce Mediation Clinic.
