Clients need to be proactive

Very helpful with all the questions and concerns that we had. He prepared all of our documents in a professional and timely manner for the first few years working with him. We remain grateful of his help on this. The lack of assistance & professionalism were felt at the most crucial year, when he ...failed to inform me of a very important application form to fill out which delayed the whole green card application process for 2 months. He also failed to inform me of my green card interview date. My best guess is that he now has a big number of clients to handle, so that clients need to be proactive.

I am very pleased that your green card process was successful. Please note that I do not make it a practice to call clients to tell them about their interviews unless that is specifically discussed or unless I am attending an interview with a client. Interview notices are sent directly to clients in the mail by USCIS. I do not know what you are referring to regarding an important application form that could delay the process. Any missing form would cause USCIS to either reject a filing or send a request for evidence. Feel free to call me to discuss and congratulations on your LPR status. Yours, Aaron Shapiro, Esq.

My dissappoint with Aaron D. Shapiro - The Shapiro Law Firm

I was referred by a friend. The friend soon ceased using his service, I didn't Understand. Aaron Shapiro was very helpful and prompt to return calls and emails initially. It wasn't too long before he started being sloppy. He usually forgets some basic things in preparation for our court cases. ...He never forgets to make sure he gets paid. In fact, him getting paid was his first priority, which is understandable but not when he is missing pertinent details and basic information that prolongs the case and figures a way to blame the client and still collect money. Sometimes he acts like his clients are stupid. He mostly had her assistant / intern lawyer dealt with my case and goes to court mostly. I had to change to a different attorney because my case wasn't much of a priority to him anymore. Thankfully my new attorney was able to secure my green card for me in less than 5 months.

I am not sure who wrote this or what it refers to, but I am surprised and quite concerned by your experience. I work very hard to communicate with clients and to maintain my good standing with the courts. I am very happy that you got your Lawful Permanent Resident status. As an attorney, I am always learning and growing. Please call me to discuss specifics so that I can improve moving forward. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours, Aaron Shapiro, Esq.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
