Biography

Suzanne M. Ratcliffe is an associate attorney in our Asbestos Litigation group. Previously, she worked for Weitz & Luxenberg as a paralegal, a role that equipped her with unique insights concerning the intricacies of litigation and that also familiarized her with the necessary resources and tools to successfully litigate cases involving asbestos exposure. She began serving in her present capacity in 2010.
Ms. Ratcliffe is admitted to the state bars of New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and serves as counsel in cases heard in U.S. District Court in New Jersey and the New York Southern and Eastern districts.
In 2011, the Touro Law Journal published an article by Ms. Ratcliffe, entitled "The Ethics of Gene Patenting and the Subsequent Implications on the Future of Health Care" (Vol. 27, No. 2, 435-60). Touro Law Journal is produced by Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where Ms. Ratcliffe graduated cum laude in 2010 and received the degree of juris doctor. In 2004, she received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a pre-medical/pre-dental concentration from the College of the Holy Cross.
The lifelong New York resident is today a member of several national, regional and local organizations catering to the interests of attorneys. They are the American Bar Assn., New York State Bar Assn., Richmond County Bar Assn., New York County Lawyers' Assn., and New York State Trial Lawyers Assn.
Ms. Ratcliffe also has served as a mentor with Legal Outreach, a program that aims to help disadvantaged New York City high school students successfully compete for admission to the nation’s top universities and colleges.
