Matthew Thomas Macintyre

Preparing for trial is quite an endeavor. We immerse ourselves in the facts of the case, constantly analyze them, dig deep to uncover other facts that will support our positions, decide how best to present the arguments, formulate questions, develop concepts, and determine what the jury needs to hear to be able to properly understand the claims. Matthew MacIntyre focuses on obtaining justice for victims of mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis in his role as an associate attorney in our Asbestos Litigation group. Prior to joining Weitz & Luxenberg in 2009, Mr. MacIntyre held the position of assistant district attorney for Kings County, N.Y. In that capacity, he prosecuted scores of defendants charged with committing crimes in Brooklyn’s "Blue Zone" neighborhoods. He came to that job in 2007 after a three-year stint with the Administration for Children’s Services, also in Brooklyn. There, he prosecuted cases of child abuse and Us Now Mr. MacIntyre began the practice of law in 2005, following his admission to the bar of New York state. He became eligible to sit for the bar entrance examination upon his completion of legal studies at Fordham University School of Law, which conferred upon him a juris doctor degree in 2004. In 2001, Mr. MacIntyre obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Fordham University at Lincoln Center.
