I had this lawyer assigned to me last minute to represent me court appointed for a custody proceeding.From the very beginning I had only 10 minutes conference with him in a private room at the court building in Manhattan.Upon getting his contact information he had no cards and gave me a hand scribble...d scrap of paper with his cell phone number.Since that first appearance I was unable to reach Brian either on the phone or by text.I even tried one of his "offices" in Manhattan that according to the doorman is a residential apartment building that he maintains a place in but lives primarily in New Jersey.Left a message there as well.After more than a dozen calls and texts I only saw Brian once the next court date came around about 7 weeks later and again had only 10 minutes with him in a private room.My court case was a disaster and his contribution to my cause was no less than 5 sentences during both court dates. If you love your child and are trying to get proper visitation or custody turn the other way from Brian Carley and run.He has no intention of helping you and wanders the halls of Family Court bouncing from client to client waiting to get picked up by some judge for the next court appointment.He will never respond to your calls or texts and will act as if everything is no problem when you get your 10 minutes before each court date.You are better off by yourself than with this absentee counsel.
