Excellent Lawyer

Consulted the lawyer on a property related issue, his quick grasp of issue, his ability to identify the weak points of the case was incredible. Hire him, specially if you have a weak case.

Lost a lot of time and money and eventually did not have any trust that he could get the work done. Went with a different immigration lawyer and he not only got it done on time but the service and communication was night and day. Very difficult communicator. Poor staff support. Not recommended.

Highly Not Recommended

No Knowledge on immigration matters. No process. No staff or associates to support/cross check the paper work. Manages his firm single handedly. Uses a yahoo email account instead of a company account. Gave good amount of business for Green Card processing . Except for one approval rest all audits an...d also possible denials . He doesn't know what Notice Of Filing means. He thinks its optional and not mandatory. Calling himself as an immigration attorney when he doesn't even know the pre-requisites of filing a PERM. Would not recommend him to anyone. Do it at your own peril.Lost lots of money and wasted a hell lot of time.A BIG RESOUNDING NO. If anyone disputes my claims I have the evidence to prove this.

This is a rebuttal to the bloggers attorney rating which is inaccurate and distasteful reporting about my credentials and my law office and for which he will have to take personal responsibility. It is just not my style to bad mouth the blogger or used unrefined language to score a point. The blogger has stated that he has used the services of 3-5 attorneys in the past and while his search for a perfect attorney can continue I think the verdict is in and should be put on record for the readers to make their own objective assessment. We, at Arun Misra PC strive to provide proactive legal solutions to client’s needs. The law is complex and intricate and due to this reason attorneys generally cannot and will not guarantee a favorable outcome. The blogger had used my Law office for filing PERM petitions. Pursuant with DOL procedures some PERM petitions are randomly audited, however the blogger lost patience, rushed to judgment and blew the whistle much before the denial by the Department of Labor. The blogger made a big deal about my’ lack of knowledge’ of the term ‘NOTICE OF FILING’, advertising in ethnic newspaper and defective advertisements. The blogger also filed for a motion to reconsider thru another law firm. The good news is that DOL not only reconsidered the petition but in fact approved it on its merits based on the original documents which were submitted and which DOL had missed out at first glance. The blogger is urged to question himself as to why the issues pertaining to Notice of Filing, Advertisement in ethnic newspaper and alleged defective job advertisement were no longer an issue with the DOL. Likewise identical procedures were taken for other filings and the blogger was well advised to take legal recourse but the blogger declined to move forward based on his personal/ business reasons and which I totally respect. I am prepared to bring federal litigation against DOL if the blogger is willing to cooperate as the DOL is applying different standards in adjudicating PERM filings. I am sure that the courts will take judicial notice about this irregularity. It is clearly a blatant abuse of discretion by the DOL and for which the attorneys should not be held accountable. The blogger has also accused me that some of his employees were in their fifth year of H-1B status and some have left the company. I think it is an overreach as I was his attorney for a very short time and he had 3 to 5 attorneys in the past as admitted by him and they should take their proportional blame if at all there is one. The blogger has also accused me that I have a skeleton staff and that my office is not cyber safe/ protected. It is a well known fact that computer technology is prone to hackers and while precautions are in place but it is impossible to fully insulate all future cyber attacks. The bottom line is that the hackers are committing a crime and will be tried to the fullest extent of law. Based on the foregoing I would invite attention of my fellow attorneys and young IT professionals that there has been a recent growing trend by IT companies who are unscrupulously using young talent for their benefit by delaying filing their PERMS until 5th year OR filing their PERM under EB-3 so that they can use them for the maximum time and then throw them out like a squeezed lemon and then later blame the attorneys for horrific results. They know there is always a new crop waiting for them to get hired ultimately facing the same result.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
