Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a criminal trial attorney, I handle all aspects of criminal and municipal defense cases from traffic tickets and disorderly persons offenses to pre-indictment negotiations through trial and appeal. A former Assistant Hudson County Prosecutor in Jersey City, New Jersey, I served as both appellate unit and trial team supervisor trying numerous violent crime cases to verdict.
Admitted to practice in New Jersey and Connecticut, I am Past-President of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), Past Chair of the Criminal Law Section, Past Chair of the Committee on Lawyers in Transition, Past Chair of the Women in the Profession Section, and Past Chair of the Young Lawyers Division. Within the NJSBA, I am a member of the Amicus Committee and the Solo Small Firm Section, member of the Supreme Court Working Group on Jury Operations and a former NJSBA representative to the Supreme Court Committee on Model Criminal Jury Charges. In the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, I am a member of the "Legal Eagle" editorial advisory board. Past appointments include: New Jersey Commission on Professionalism and the Law, Membership and Public Relations Committee, Judicial Administration Committee, Legal Education Committee and Hudson Vicinage Advisory Committee on Minority Concerns. I am a trustee of the Middlesex County Bar Association and was named Middlesex County Bar Association Young Lawyer of the Year in 2008. I am an assistant coach of the Rutgers University Mock Trial Association, the National Runner-Up Champion for the 2011-12 season. I received my B.A., cum laude, from Providence College, attended Washington College of Law, American University, and received my J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
As a former assistant prosecutor, I have tried many cases, including murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and drug distribution cases. I have successfully argued several cases before the Appellate Division and New Jersey Supreme Court.
