I was facing leaving the scene and failure to report an accident plus careless driving. Mr Uslan negotiated with the Municipal Prosecutor and presented my good character and clean record. I pled guilty to failure to report and failure to maintain my lane. No points and $238.00 in fines and court costs plus protected me from action by the other party. He was immediately responsive in keeping me informed and making time for consutations. Prepared me well for court. I was very happy with the outcome.

In my opinion. Mr Uslan is the worst type of attorney. He's apparently knowledgeable and projects an aura of competence but was not professional enough to put in the amount of time necessary to defend my case properly.
After taking the case, the times that I called to determine if documents pertinent to the case had arrived, he told me that he didn't know and would have to check. When I told him that I felt he wasn't giving my case enough attention, he assured me that he would. Then, after that assurance, he cut an office meeting short because he had a personal engagement. But before he left, we decided on a course of action that would require that he investigate further. I depended on his professionalism to do that work. At the hearing, he told me that there is some case law to back up our argument but that would would have to do more research!!! He obviously neglected to mention when that would happen. I was left needing to make a decision without having all the facts necessary to do so.
As I indicated, he projects an aura of competence but, when the time came and chips were down, he provided very little counsel in defending my case.

Richard is an excellent lawyer, someone who has your interest at heart and will work diligently to get the best outcome. I was in a life changing situation with a serious dui-related car accident that would have resulted in jail time, loss of employment, and much heavier fines than I received in the final sentencing. He answered all of the questions I had, walking me through every step of the process.
At the end of the case, I ended up with probation, no jail time, a shortened license suspension (and recovery through rehab). I would highly recommend Richard.
