Best Real Estate Attorney in NJ!!

James O'Kelley is absolutely amazing. I have hired James attorney services in buying a home to help me with attorney review and close the deal. His in-depth knowledge and experience about the real estate review process and the entire home buying process combined with his exceptional level of deta...il, organization, responsiveness, and ability to move things along efficiently and with care and compassion has been tremendously helpful in making the entire process so much easier and giving great peace of mind. I would never have imagined going through the house buying process without James' help. He explained to us each and every word of the legal papers, papers of closing and clauses in this transaction in lay-man language , making it super easy for us. The home inspection report had a bunch of repairs to be done by the sellers. James meticulously proposed each and every item to the sellers and was able to successfully get the responses in our favour. This was a tremendous win for us , in such a sensitive market. I would highly recommend James O'kelley's attorney services to whoever is looking for a genuine attorney.

Buying our first home.

My wife and I found James through our Realtor as a referral and we are so happy we did go with James. First his fee was very fair and reasonable, and after going through the home buying process we learned quickly that James worked for us and was holding our hand through the entire process. He was ver...y thorough and detailed when explaining any and all documents. And when we had questions little or small, he was quick to answer and this help ease our anxiety. I still contact James with a few questions after we closed and he still helps and answers. I would recommend James to anyone looking for a real estate lawyer.

Responsive and Knowledgable

James was a wonderful lawyer representing us for our home purchase. He answered any and all questions we had, made great recommendations, and got us through closing within only 45 days!

Obnoxious

Jim was the attorney for buyers who purchased our home. While the buyers wanted a “quick closing,” they also had to get a mortgage commitment, and they requested repairs literally every week, up until the actual day of our closing. We repaired everything for which we were responsible and even gav...e them credits for repairs we didn’t have to for excluded items. We were reasonable, responsive and generous. A couple of the repairs included the chimney, child locks on the yard gates and the smoke alarms cited by the township on inspection. Given current supply chain issues right now and contractors being three to four weeks out for appointments, we earnestly were trying daily to get parts and contractors scheduled to do the repairs, which was difficult, and trying to get these things done in earnest. We were communicating as much on a daily basis. We were only six and a half weeks into the transaction when O’Kelly sent an obnoxious TOE (time is of the essence) letter to our attorney saying that we were in breach of contract and sellers would be suing us for damages if need be. This was uncalled for, as, again, repairs were being demanded frequently, and a typical closing takes two to three months - we weren’t even seven weeks in. In addition, we ended up closing a week ahead of the date they requested. If you are a seller, you might think about dealing with buyers who hire him as their attorney, as he is, to our experience, unreasonable.

Knowledgeable, assertive, compassionate

Jim is the best. I’m so glad that he is the lawyer who ended up representing us in our real estate purchase. Addressed every issue which arose in a timely manner. Offered a lot of really good advice. Also was always there to answer my many questions about the process. I highly recommend J...im to anyone in need of a legal representative
