First time home buyer

Jim truly stands out as the best of the best! When my girlfriend and I were purchasing our first home, he not only guided us seamlessly through the negotiation process but also played a crucial role in ensuring a timely closing. Our realtor's recommendation led us to Jim, and we couldn't have found a... better lawyer. Jim's dedication is evident as he takes the time to break down contracts and negotiations, making the entire process smoother and more understandable.

Excellent lawyer

Jim worked for me dealing with a very difficult seller. He had my back the whole time. He's honest, straightforward, and you will be his number one client. I know I'll never lose his number!!!!

Exceptional Service

My Wife and I recently bought a house and luckily for us, Jim was our attorney. We could not have asked for anybody else better than Jim. During our house buying process, the seller kept asking for constant changes. In the beginning the sellers wanted a later closing date, after a week of contract, t...hey asked us to do a early closing. They also said there would be no contingency at the beginning, which also changed during the time of the buying process. All in all, it was just too much back and forth with the seller, and Jim and team handled the situation flawlessly and with so much ease. My wife and I really felt relaxed and comfortable working with Jim during all this chaos. The communication is extremely Prompt and all our questions and doubts (as new home owners) were answered instantly and with all the necessary details. If you ever need an attorney for yourself, I would definitely recommend Jim and team. Absolutely Excellent Service.

Obnoxious

Jim was the attorney for buyers who purchased our home. While the buyers wanted a “quick closing,” they also had to get a mortgage commitment, and they requested repairs literally every week, up until the actual day of our closing. We repaired everything for which we were responsible and even gav...e them credits for repairs we didn’t have to for excluded items. We were reasonable, responsive and generous. A couple of the repairs included the chimney, child locks on the yard gates and the smoke alarms cited by the township on inspection. Given current supply chain issues right now and contractors being three to four weeks out for appointments, we earnestly were trying daily to get parts and contractors scheduled to do the repairs, which was difficult, and trying to get these things done in earnest. We were communicating as much on a daily basis. We were only six and a half weeks into the transaction when O’Kelly sent an obnoxious TOE (time is of the essence) letter to our attorney saying that we were in breach of contract and sellers would be suing us for damages if need be. This was uncalled for, as, again, repairs were being demanded frequently, and a typical closing takes two to three months - we weren’t even seven weeks in. In addition, we ended up closing a week ahead of the date they requested. If you are a seller, you might think about dealing with buyers who hire him as their attorney, as he is, to our experience, unreasonable.

Great First Home Buyer Experience

Jim was great to work with from the start. He's personable, responsive, and professional. I had no hesitation reach out to him for any and all questions regarding the legal process. He explained each document I had to sign at closing. I would recommend Jim to friends and family.
