I was an out of state father that had his son absconded from his birth state many years ago. Lisa was referred to me from my legal assistance team at my job. We literally didn't know each other from a bar of soap. After hearing the circumstance Lisa took the case at rate that was significantly lower ...than other attorneys as she had a passion for children. This lower rate certainly didn't stop her from going so far above and beyond the normal realm of any attorney that I have heard of, such as fronting payment to the court until we could get to the bank upon arrival to the state of NJ, walking into a courtroom to get an emergency hearing, having her staff and her work numerous unpaid hours all sitting on the floor of her office going over inordinate amounts of paperwork and legal documents, going to the known address of the respondent on Thanksgiving day to see that the respondent actually did NOT leave the state for a state required Holiday visitation. Lisa worked so hard n dealing with an out of state petitioner for years up until the time I was granted custody of my son when a father getting custody was so far out of the realm of reality back in the day. I can honestly say that Lisa E Halpern saved my son's life, a life that has had him become an outstanding citizen, a hard worker, a kind and loving young adult while going to college to be a math teacher due to his love for children.
