Biography
Jim Treanor has spent his legal career working to better the lives of others. After law school, he worked for many years for legal services programs in New York and New Jersey representing low-income clients in state and federal court.
He then opened a law practice that specialized in representing individuals in their SSD and SSI claims. In all, he has over 25 years of experience handling disability claims at all levels of the Social Security application process. Further, he has significant experience and has had a high degree of success arguing Social Security cases before the federal district courts in New Jersey and New York.
Jim also has a great deal of experience training other attorneys. He was part of the New Jersey State Bar's Legal Response Team that trained attorneys who then represented pro bono individuals who were impacted by 9/11. He was also a regular presenter at Legal Services of New Jerseys annual disability conferences and was also the main presenter at Legal Services of New Jerseys in-house disability training programs.
