David Thomas Schlendorf

I'm not sure what the people from the other reviews from three years ago went through but that was definitely not my experience. David was always available to answer my calls and if he wasn't I always got a return phone call within the same day. Although I didn't get everything I asked for I am smart... enough to realize that a lawyer is not a magician especially in family court. David was up front about the fact that we may not be successful and fought hard for me. His associate Ioanna prepared the motions and was always available to answer questions and was really wonderful and pleasant to deal with.

I hired Mr Schlendorf to handle a business matter. He never answers our calls. he was supposed to write a answer to a lawsuit. Mr Schlendof told us we didn't have to court, he had no idea what he was doing and didn't do the job he was paid for. he never sent us any information about the case until... it was too late. He did not do his job. Stay away .

After using another attorney for a messy divorce / child custody matter, I was hoping for a fresh start with Mr. Schlendorf. After meeting with him, I was optimistic about the direction we were going in and was extremely confident about achieving a favorable result and outcome in my case. It didn't... take me long to find out how bad of a mistake I had made in using this attorney. During my brief tenure using Mr. Schlendorf's services, he did not secure me one favorable outcome in my family court matter after making my case out to be like it was a "sure thing." It was difficult for him to return calls and I found him to be very eager to please at first, and then once I paid him, he could care less. What I want as a client is a strong attorney who believes in me and who will fight for me no matter what in court. Mr. Schlendorf did not do that for me in the courtroom, and it gave me the impression that he truly did not care about me. Also, it seems that this attorney passes off a lot of the work (motions etc.) to younger staff members, which I really did not care for and it was rather unpleasant dealing with them. I only used Mr. Schlendorf for that one motion and would not use him again for any legal matter - I was extremely unhappy with his services. It was a complete waste of money that I cannot get back.
