Novice inventors will not find any better adviser than Brian Dinicola

The value of any review depends on the reviewer’s background experience. So I will disclose mine. I’m a novice inventor. I grew up in a technical environment, and began my career in 1964 as an aircraft mechanic and inspector for Boeing, and became an international 747 pilot. My career involved close ...contact with countless engineers, lawyers and legal documents for decades. So I’ve been around the world a few times and I know a savvy engineer or a savvy lawyer when I see one. I’ve never seen any engineer or lawyer more insightful than Brian Dinicola, let alone anyone with his superiority in both skills. I spent six months searching coast to coast for a patent lawyer. I examined all kinds of patent services posted on the Internet. They lacked primary information most important to any novice like me. Then I happened upon Brian Dinicola’s web site. His forthright and meticulous style instantly distinguished him from other Internet patent services. Brian routinely displayed careful forethought in explaining the answers I needed before I even thought of the questions. We are on opposite sides of the country, but he communicates so well by email, it’s like being in his office. Brian’s eloquent and meticulous writing style is so proficient anyone of my skill level could form a mental picture or make a drawing from what he writes. He greatly exceeded my expectations where his patent application technique expanded the potential value of my invention far beyond my original concept. Experienced inventors already know what to do. But a novice like me needs a prudent and competent adviser. Novice inventors will not find any better adviser than Brian Dinicola. John – Nevada

Outstanding patent and trademark lawyer

He handled 4 patents for me I found him helpful and insightful, throughout the whole patent process. He helped me understand the intricacy of the patent and trademark process. I can recommend him without reservation. I will continue to use him for all my legal work in the future.

Patent attorney with excellent technical knowledge/understanding

After meeting with a handful of patent attorneys who were unable to really understand my invention, I selected Brian due to his technical/engineering knowledge. Brian assisted me in filing a complex augmented reality patent application as well as incorporating my new startup business. Working with ...him was a great experience- he was always open to answering any questions I had and was also able to discuss my invention at a very advanced level. The content he authored for the application was both very accurate and detailed. His drawings were equally impressive. I highly recommend Brian and look forward to working with him again in the future.

Highly Recommend as IP Lawyer

I have been working with Brian Dinicola on many patent applications over the years through my company. Brian's responsibility was to take an idea for an invention or a description of an invention, usually in the form of a 1-2 paragraph write-up or verbally communicated, rework it into a full-fledged ...intellectual property description, "defend" it in front of a corporate patenting panel, and eventually write the actual patent application for the U.S. patent office and then respond to any office actions afterward. What struck me about Brian is that he has consistently improved and refined my inventions during the patent application process. It is almost like talking to a co-inventor who not only understands the subject matter but also the intellectual property and business dimensions and then comes up with improvements/refinements for the benefit of the invention. In this way, Brian has been a great (and unexpected) asset for various projects I have worked on. Another big plus for me is that Brian has an excellent grasp of my field of work (software/enterprise communications/computer science) and does not require any hand holding or "tutoring", which allows me to quickly get on with my work and stay only minimally involved after having explained the invention to him. He also knows the prior art quite well so that we can quickly distill the truly patentable aspects of an invention instead of later running into problems with patent examiners. While this may not be that important for everyone, I also appreciate Brian's friendly personality. This turns an otherwise cut-and-dry patent application process into a somewhat fun affair. So, all in all, I highly recommend Brian as an IP lawyer.
