This man could not have been any more supportive and knowledgable in my mothers DUI case. She was extremely scared of the unknown and at 80 years old, John spent so much time explaining in detail what to expect. He was so very patient and kind throughout the whole process. Its very difficult to summarize all that has happened over the last 6 months. To be brief ,my daughter got mixed up with the wrong crowd and along with that came not 1, not 2 but 4 different arrests, each with multiple charges. ( DUI, Poss CDS in MV, Leaving scene of accident, under age drinking- jus...t to name a few) I contacted John at the beginning of this nightmare, after the first charge. His recommendation was to get her in D/A treatment ASAP. My daughter fought me everyday but she went and everytime she was about to leave, John contacted her and reinforced how important it was for her to complete the program. That, I believe is what helped her through the multiple cases AND helped her graduate High School. John is honest and upfront about what the possibilities are for cases and what to be prepared for. He got the most favorable outcome for my daughter in every case. Honestly, there are no words that can express my gratitude to John for helping save my daughter's life. I really should have done more research on my end when hiring a lawyer, but that's my own fault. The "deal" I got I could have negotiated on my own. Tumelty did not fight for me at all. He did not return my calls, and made me feel like I was guilty because of "police credibility". (He was tired from... a 12 day long trial the week before according to his receptionist) Even though I didn't have a definite BAC reading and my field test was not video taped. The only clear BAC reading they had would have meant I was in a coma, or dead. He fumbled through his notes to come up with some reason why I should take the deal (slurred speech) which just shows how little he cared about my case. I suffer from a debilitating mental disease and his response was "do you want me to give you emotional advice?" Completely unsympathetic and contradicts the claims he makes. My life will never be the same because he did not fight for me. He walked in and believed everything the prosecution told him based off of a unorganized police officer. I had to pay maximum fines, and I had no idea that he negotiated that. The day of the trial he just decided that was okay without consulting me. I don't have the money to hire him then pay thousands in fines after that. I believe that's something an attorney should tell you. I just hope someone reads this and does not make the same mistake I did.
