I had a telephone conversation and consultation with Ms. Epstein. She agreed to represent me in a Legal matter. This attorney represents that she will only charge $95 per hour for individuals seeking her representation in excess of 55 years old. Here is a quote from her “about me” page on AVVO w...hich was updated in 2017. “About me I have been a Licensed New Jjersey Attorney in Good Standing since 1984. I believe it is time to provide experienced legal advise and counsel to the Elderly at an Affordable Reasonable Rate. i have decided to charge any one who is 55 or older just $95.00 per hour for my professional legal services!” I came into this information after reading her AVVO information and after having sent her a check. I am in my 60s and despite her published claim, she attempted to charge me $500 to write a single letter. I complained! She, luckily, never cashed the check that I sent her. She did provide a customary free consultation but then, complained that she had been taken advantage of for having spent that time. Thereafter, she vindictively had a telephone conversation (With another attorney that I have engaged for an unrelated matter,) and allegedly told him that I was full of baloney, and that she was very intuitive and that he had better watch out for me. Furthermore, I allege and intend to prove that she discussed my case with other individual(s). In my Layman’s opinion, I allege that is a violation of attorney client privilege. I have been told that she is allegedly caring for a child and needs money. She has been very nasty and unprofessional in her communication to me after I discovered her alleged attempted scam. I have text messages from her which depict her attitude. In my opinion, an Attorney who advertises a discounted rate for seniors and then, attempts to charge 4 to 5 times as much cannot necessarily be trusted. It is my opinion that this attorney be avoided at all costs. Thank you.
