Please do not use this attorney. I hired Donna to represent me in a simple divorce case. I negotiated a better settlement my self with my husband but hired Donna thinking I would be protected from a business venture etc. and protecting my child against an abusive father etc. She spoke down to me, i...nsulted me, was rude towards me, never spoke up in meetings on my behalf. She is only interested in collecting her bill. She went beyond and above to collect her bill - filing a judgment against me when I tried to make payment arrangements. When it came to protecting my child against an abusive father or establishing a fair settlement she lacked attempting to so much write a letter but specializes in making phone calls (phone calls that will never be documentated) Donna is rude, unprofessional and will not be your advocate.

When I first dealt with Ms. Platts practice several years ago, I was impressed with her Staff and her Office right from the beginning. I was led into her conference room and in walked a very pleasant professional woman. She began with listening to me, helping me articulate the facts explained the legal side of the situation and brought me down "off the ledge" per se. She explained how my case would go forward (pros and cons) she is a very straight forward individual but very pleasant. She explained everything to me to include how her payment scheduled, which I found to be extremely reasonable and fair especially since she was not the first attorney I had consulted. Her tenacity in the court room was what I was impressed with the most. She is confident and professional and to watch her not only during the trial but also clarify everything at the end actually made me feel like this is what being "represented" means. She has always been extremely honest, even when she knew I would not like the answer. She explained what the law is and how it worked in my particular situations. And she explained it in terms I could understand. She represented me in establishing my LLC and currently is my attorney for my business. While I was partners in another business in another State, I had no idea how to put together my own business here in New Jersey. Her professionalism and expertise was right on target. She provided me with sound guidance, explained everything that was necessary as far as the laws of New Jersey are for my type of business. She was there for me no matter what the questions or concerns were so I made no mistakes on moving forward. She gave me such confidence in putting this business together I was extremely comfortable working with her. She also has consulted me on a business I am partners in in another State, while in this situation she does not represent me (only due to the fact that it is out of State) - I called her as soon as I realized my partner was involved in illegal practices with the business. She gave me two pieces of advice to take care of immediately - I am forever grateful to her for the guidance given, based on what she told me I was able to set the the grounds for moving forward and holding my partner accountable. She is tough, she is fair and she is knowledgeable. She takes time needed for her clients and will make you feel comfortable as soon as you speak to her. She kept me informed and makes me feel like when I called her, I was the only client she had - There was never a time when she was too busy, didn't return calls or didn't answer questions with good, sound advice. Ms. Platt is what all attorneys should emulate - she is an advocate for her client, she is ethical and she is a professional.
