Mr. Kiran immigrated to the United States at the age of 5 with his family. Although his native language was Turkish, Mr. Kiran learned English, Spanish, and Portuguese after immigrating to the U.S. He earned his bacheror's degree in the Administration of Justice from Penn State University in 1998, and his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2004.
Mr. Kiran provided interpretation and translation services to the immigrant community from 1994 through 2005. He also worked as a contract linguist with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 2003 until 2005.
For four years during law school, Mr. Kiran worked as a paralegal at a Philadelphia firm focused exclusively on immigration law. He then co-founded a law firm in Phaildelphia, where he remained as a partner from 2005 until 2011. In 2011, he became a solo practictioner, and focused on immigration law and other areas.
Mr. Kiran has spoken on immigration law in many immigrant communities in order to update them on the developments in the law. He also makes pro bono appearances on behalf of many community organizations.
Mr. Kiran's practice is concentrated exclusively in the area of immigration and naturalization. He handles all aspects of immigration law, including family-based immigration, applications for permanent residence and naturalization, VAWA and U-visa relief, motions to reopen proceedings and applications for stay of removal, consular processing, and removal defense.
