also known as Ted Baker
After graduating law school, I began a judicial clerkship which in many ways set the stage for my entire career. The judge for whom I clerked exclusively heard cases involving child abuse. That began what is nearly a 20-year-long practice in this field. After my clerkship, I became a Deputy Attorney General, where I represented DYFS, prosecuting child abuse cases. After several years, I formed a law firm and started representing individuals who where involved in cases involving DYFS (now DCPP). Having experience from the judge’s bench and from both sides of the counsel table, I am able to offer experience and insight that few others have to offer. I look forward to assisting you with your matter, understanding that every case is different and every case is important.

Grateful
During a very difficult time, unsure where to turn, a trusted friend recommended Ted Baker. Having no other recommendations or even a basic knowledge of the legal system we hired Ted and now are so thankful we did! He expertly navigated us through a messy case and we came out on the other side alive ...

STAY AWAY FOR FAMILY/DYFS CASE'S
I hire Ted for my child custody case/DYFS case. his rates are extremely expensive at 350 dollars an hour, with a huge retainer up front now if this lawyer was any good I can understand the rates being so high but for him being more than poor if I could give him no stars I would. in my case he totally...
"Ted always undertakes his legal representation in a very professional manner. Not only is he very conscious about his duties to his clients, he thoroughly explains the operable law and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the case with his clients so that they are adequately prepared for all potential results. Ted clearly fights hard for his clients, which is shown time and time again by his clients' satisfaction as well as his solid reputation amongst his peers."
"Ted's experience in DCPP matters is unrivaled and he understands the complicated web of government agencies involved in these cases. He fights for every client and routinely obtains outstanding results. I endorse this attorney without reservation."
"Mr. Baker's experience as a former Deputy Attorney General who represented the New Jersey DCPP (formerly DYFS) is one of many attributes that makes him a very experienced and talented attorney."
"Ted is the “go to” lawyer for this area of practice. He is highly regarded, honest, and committed to his clients."
"Ted is a great lawyer and is highly skilled in representing families in DYFS / DCPP matters. I highly recommend Ted and his firm for clients looking for representation in child abuse and neglect proceedings. I have recommended him to clients who live in southern New Jersey as he is the preeminent expert in DYFS / DCPP litigation in the southern half of the state."
