Adam Edward Araten

Adam did a great job, at first. He was easy to work with and always returned my call quickly. I gave him power of attorney so that I wouldn't have to attend the closing. I regret that. The buyers complained about a repair to the house. Adam discussed it with me and we agreed to terms for an agre...ement and we closed. However, Adam didn't communicate the details to me and agreed to more than I was aware of. Therefor I ended up paying a repair bill that I never agreed to.

Adam went above and beyond to help me complete my mortgage. He always picked up the phone when I called and cleared up any of my concerns before closing. He was kind through out the closing explaining everything in detail and assuring me that everything was up to standard. After the closing of my ...home major renovations needed to be completed. I called Adam with an issue with my contractor and he called my contractor on my behalf and explained to him what legal steps I could take and within a day we were back on track with my construction. Honestly he could have charged me for his services I know that but he didn't. The man did not ask for a dime and every time I have called him since he never has. I've had more issue then a few buying my first home and even though his job was only to close my house he has done so much more than that. He is a good lawyer and a good man and I am grateful and lucky to have met him.

Mr. Araten took the time to speak with me, at length, regarding a legal issue. He listened, understood, and commented when needed. At one point, when it became clear that geographic limitations would make it impossible for him to be beneficial in the case, (it would cost more in drive-time than the... case was worth) - I expected him to conclude our conversation. Instead, he offered more information into things that I should know and look for and be aware of. I would not hesitate to retain Mr. Araten in the future for matters where geographic limitations are not a factor (letter writing, closings, document requests, document preparation, etc.). I wish there were more attorneys like him in my area!
