Did a great job... twice!

I engaged Mr. Klein for my divorce several years ago to handle my custody and support problems.  He did a great job for me in difficult circumstances.  Now, after years, I needed him again to enforce and change some critical parts of my divorce.  He acted immediately and always kept me informed.  I h...ighly recommend him. As always, he was attentive, caring and zeroed in on exactly what I needed.

DO NOT TRUST MR. KLEIN

DO NOT TRUST RICHARD KLEIN. I hired Mr. Klein to assist with changing a custody agreement. After taking my retainer of $3,500, I rarely heard from him. Every time I followed up, I was billed - this included emails and phone calls. I was billed to ask for status of my case. In addition, once he trans...ferred firms (now with Cooper Levenson), he refused to return my calls. The only times I spoke with Mr. Klein was when I hired him and then fired him. Very unprofessional and unresponsive.

Don't Hire Him!!!

Richard Klein was referred to me by a friend that used him. I should have considered that her divorce was not done to satisfaction but I used him anyway. He doesn't return calls, do any follow-up and is a liar. He postpone court appearances using lies to the court and lacks professional courtesy. ... He messed up my paper work and my divorce was dismissed. He never answers his phone and bills excessively. After telling me a time frame for when my divorce would be completed and how much it would cost, the time got extended because he changed practice without telling me and was billing me for every thing. Don't hire him even if he is offering his services for free.

A shark in every respect.

This lawyer was totally incompetent. He cost me thousands of dollars not knowing tax laws during a divorce. He told me that I could claim my kids on my tax return since I was supporting them. He said that if the IRS had questions we could show them the support. As it turns out, that is not true. Sinc...e the kids were living with their mother, she had to sign a form 8336, which she didn't for 2 years. He kept continuing court hearings, charged me over $20,000 without doing anything. He kept writing letters to the other attorney after I said to stop writing them. Of course he charged me for each letter. During the initial hearing, the judge set a temporary support order back dated. I got a bill for over $10000 from the probation department that I owed my wife. He didn't bring up the fact that I had been paying all the bills from the date the Judge had set. I had to go back to court and have that fixed. Of course again I had to pay him more money.

Worst attorney ever!!!!

Richard Klein was recommended to me by another attorney. I gave him a $5000.00 retainer and that didn't last a month. He did not return phone calls or answer emails. I challenged his bill and got it reduced because he did nothing for me!!! Do not use him. He is only interested in getting your retaine...r.
