I can't say that I've always been a plaintiff's personal injury lawyer. In fact, most of my career thus far has been spent representing insurance companies, including some of the largest auto insurers in New Jersey. Though I very much liked the other attorneys and staff that I worked with, something was always missing. When I succeeded, I felt as if I had done something wrong. Working to save a multi-billion dollar insurance company several thousand dollars (in several cases the insurance company would demand I fight over three hundred dollars!) was not why I became a lawyer.

I made the switch to help plaintiffs and I could not be happier. I've seen in my own life how an injury can derail a family; how bills can be left unpaid, how a once vibrant person can be stifled by pain. Although money can never erase the pain from an accident, it can help to put the pieces back together. That money should be put into your pocket, not the insurance company's.

Today, more than ever, there is nearly an unlimited supply of "personal injury attorneys" looking for business. Many of these attorneys are general practice attorneys that spend more time writing wills and defending traffic tickets than they do litigating personal injury claims. Many others are from large firms with exorbitant advertising budgets simply attempting to play the numbers game.

I am an associate with the firm of Jarve Kaplan Granato Starr. The attorneys within my office have over a combined 150 years of experience litigating serious personal injury claims. Personally, I know how insurance companies work, what strategies and tricks carriers use, and how to get you the maximum recovery for your injuries. More than anything, I believe that the legal system shouldn't be a mystery, and would be happy to explain to you how the process works and what your options are. I'm originally from Atlantic County. I grew up the son of two casino employees and still appreciate the people like my parents that work every day to put food on the table and provide for their children. I was lucky enough to be able to attend Villanova University where I received my bachelor's degree and then Rutgers University where I received my law degree. Currently, I live in Philadelphia with my beautiful wife, Lindsay, who works as a special education teacher in the city. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, playing golf, and reading and writing. I recently published a book of short stories that you can find here (I won't make any promises as to their quality).
