I love being a lawyer because it is incredibly rewarding when a new client comes in who is stressed out because of a problem they're having and through the hour I spend with them, I can see the anxiety melting away. I am privileged to have this gift that I am able to connect with people and let them know it's going to be OK. My job is to let them know that we can handle their problem so they don't have to worry anymore. Of course I still have to do the work afterward and actually fix their problems, but that's the easy part. The challenge is to make my clients feel like they can turn their burden over to me and let me take care of it. Once they do that they can walk out of here in a much better frame of mind, able to get on with their lives, and that's just such a good feeling for me.

Daniel Reinganum, Chapter 7 bankruptcy Attorney on Mar 12, 2015
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
I have known Ellen McDowell for four years through our mutual involvement in the Camden County Debtor/Creditor Committee and a number of bankruptcy cases we were both involved in. Ellen is a knowledgeable and effective advocate for her clients and a respected member of the bar. Where I cannot help a client due to a conflict I have never had any hesitation to refer them to Ellen.
