Made a good choice

I knew that my case involving divorce after a long marriage would be complex so I interviewed five other attorneys before selecting Mr. Newman to represent me. Every interaction with Mr. Newman and his staff underscored that I had made the correct choice. Mr. Newman routinely impressed me with his pr...ofessionalism and vast knowledge of all facets of family law. At the same time, he always patiently listened and responded to my concerns with empathy and the utmost respect. I highly recommend his services.

So rude, doesn’t care much for new clients

I called for a free consultation and Daniel was extremely rude to me. You could hear the great deal of annoyance with my questions in his voice as if I wasn’t worth even talking to. He was short with me and didnt seem like he even wanted to give a free consultation even though that is what he adverti...ses. I was looking for an attorney who specializes in family law, and he would of been the last lawyer on my list to choose from because of how insignificant he made me feel. He was so terrible and not very friendly at all. Why would you advertise free consultations if you don’t feel like dealing with people for free? Also, he very very judgemental due to the nature of my case. I recommend to not even waste your time on Daniel. He was Extremley rude to me, and not friendly at all. I noticed he doesn’t care for you unless you are willing to pay money and hire him right away. Never will I ever even consider hiring him as an attorney and I will be sure to tell others and spread this message to not hire him, he gave me maybe 2 minutes of his time on the phone. Super unprofessional and obviously not passionate about his work and his clients.

This review is extremely unfair and untrue. I am sorry that this conversation was taken the wrong way. I do offer free consultations. Generally, these are not telephone consultations, however. The only exception is if the potential client is from out of state or he/she has a disability or other unique problem. In any event, I did speak with this particular person on March 15, 2018, via telephone. My staff transferred the call to me because it was a simple, straightforward question about the ability of the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency to impose certain types of testing upon parents. The answer that I provided to this person was clear-cut under New Jersey law with little, if any, room for subjective interpretation. I am sorry if the answer I gave was unfavorable and not what this person wanted to hear. Unfortunately, sometimes lawyers have to give answers and advice to people which is not favorable to them. Please note that there was absolutely no discussion of signing a retainer agreement or any financial arrangement with me as I would have been unable to successfully assist this person under governing New Jersey law. I try to always be honest with people who ask for my legal advice. I was not being short or in any way judgmental with respect to this person. I have represented many people in these types of situations, and I am quite understanding of their problems.

Best Lawyer!!

Mr. Newman is an excellent lawyer. He was my lawyer for my divorce and the two times that I have had to return back to court after my divorce. He takes the time to be sure that everything you need will be taken care of. He stays in contact with you to keep you updated. He is always a phone call away.... When I called him back 2 years later he still knew who I was. I didn't feel like just another client. I can not say enough good things about him and his staff. I always feel I can call him and he will answer any questions that I might have. I would highly recommend him.
