Awsome Job

Robert did an excellent job. He got me out of my charges, he is a lawyer that knows what he is doing. I would choose him again if the need arises.

Life saver

Robert de Persia put his whole heart into defending my friend. I thought the deck way stacked but Robert found a way to win the case. He is a remarkable attorney and truly showed how much he cared for my friend's well-being. He is exceptional.

Changed my life

I made a really bad mistake. I was driving and I had some illegal narcotics in the car with me. The police charged me with everything. DWIs, possession of drugs, being under the influence with narcotics. I thought my life was over. All my friends told me I had to call Robert DePersia. I really didn't... think anybody could help me. When the very first time I met him in his office, I knew I made the right decision. He explained everything to me, and laid out a strategy of how we were going to address the case. He was always available for me to talk to and meet with, he answered all my questions anytime I had any. He filed several motions in order to proceed with the strategy we previously discussed. The judge ruled in his favor and I was able to avoid the DWI convictions and any criminal convictions. It was absolutely amazing. I'm able to move forward in my life without any complications. He's truly the best and I recommend him to anybody. He's changed my life. Black wood, NJ

DWI second offense

I recieved 3 traffic tickets in December 2013..Reckless Driving, Speeding, and DWI. A few days later I met up with Robert to discuss the case. On the night that I was pulled over it was dark, rainy, and the road was covered with snow and leaves (could barely see lines on the road). My breathalyzer re...sults were all different, 4 differing results, .084 the lowest, and I believe .092 being the highest. While DWI is apparently a very hard case to fight and win, here are the reasons why I feel this case was handled poorly. Robert told me he was the guy to go with mainly beacuse he only "specialized" in DWI cases. Obviously he lied to me, as looking him up shows he deals with a number of different cases. I even happened to over hear him talking with another client over the phone while I was in the 'waiting room' after one visit, in what sounded like his client had been arrested for assault. When I went in for the initial visit and told him I was still "shopping around" for a good lawyer, he asked me to name other law firms I was considering. Upon throwing him some names, he discredited and belittled them, insisting they were all 'rookies', and he had 25 years of experience. Most people tend to get nervous when dealing with the whole getting pulled over situation. And as I mentioned it was dark and rainy/snowy on the night I was pulled over. All of that combined made for a very uncomftorable position, and as a result when the officer asked me for my license I handed him my credit card by mistake. The officer lied in his report, stating I had handed him the wrong information twice. Reguardless, Robert basically mocked me for this. He was smug and chuckled at me when going over this. When I explained to him that the officer lied, his response was, "who do you think the judge is going to believe? You or the cop?" Mr.DePersia also has a personal friendship with the chief of police in the town I was pulled over in. He actually told me this. While I cannot prove it one can only assume he basically has a pull with any and all of the police departments where he represents his clients. In other words, unless you are good friends or close family, or have 'celebrity' status (much like many of his clients nicely framed in his office), then Mr. DePersia is going to most likely take the word of law enforcement over the client. I was very naive, very uninformed, and very vulnerable at the time I was dealing with this whole situation, and Mr. DePersia capitalized on this, and I paid the price. $2,000 to be exact. I will say that Robert did cut out $500 of my total charge (2,500 was the initial fee all together) after he called me and told me I was just going to be pleading guilty, and I asked him if he could cut me any break of any kind as I was going to be pleading guilty. A few days after I was convicted in March 2014 for DWI I called his office a few times to ask him about an issue reguarding to my sentence. Once I left a message, and another time I spoke with his secretary and she told me she would have him get back to me. Never heard from him again, unless it was to collect the remaining $500 I owed him. As a result I consulted with a Fee Arbitration lawyer to dispute the remaining balance. Robert was present at this hearing, and upon asking him why I did not hear back from him he denied recieving any messages from me. When I asked him about the issue I had called his office twice about, his response was, "you'll have to check with your friends about that."
