Bait and switch

We hired and paid Gilgallon to amend the zoning on a property. As the other reviewers said, he was enthusiastic at the beginning, it was an easy-peasy job that he would have no problem completing with a short turn around. After months and months of not hearing back from him, he finally came back to u...s NOT with what we hired him to procure, but something entirely different that wouldn't help us at all. When confronted with this, his language completely changed and he became nasty and threatening. A horrible experience.

Flaky and unreliable - Stay away!!

This guy promised me a document on a two or three day turnaround for a meeting I was to have with my bank regarding a mortgage modification. After repeated assurances that it would be done, he left me hanging and thereafter did not return phone calls or emails. Extremely unethical and flaky, partic...ularly given the nature of the work that was needed. He put my deal in serious jeopardy.

Worst attorney I have ever dealt with.

I hired Mr. Gigallon at the recommendation of a real estate agent that I knew and unfortunately this was the worst mistake I could have made. He was one of the most difficult people to deal with. He was rarely available to take my calls and when he was he always seemed preoccupied and was extremely... rude and short to me. All of the issues that we where having were being blamed on the seller and the sellers attorney. I felt as if I was not being represented properly in the purchase of my new home. After much agonizing, I finally decided to fire Mr. Gilgallon and unfortunately lost the house and had to start house hunting all over again. I would never recommend this man to anyone. I seriously considered taking some sort of action against him but decided to put the whole ordeal behind me and move forward.

would not recommend

Mr. Gilgallon was a lawyer for my first home-buying experience. The first week of the process, he was very response and even chatted with me for 20 minutes on the phone. After that, he was impossible to reach, did not return my calls, did not advise me in any way. He was much more interested in th...e house sale than in defending me as my lawyer (which, yes, is the interest that the incentive-scheme for real-estate lawyers dictates). I feel like I threw money away using him. He barely helped me with negotiating after inspection, made a few minor/standard changes to the original offer contract, and gave some advice on finding a mortgage. In other words, he went through the motions. The real estate market was quite volatile during my purchase and I was looking to renegotiate some things and needed some advice and help...he could not be reached and could not be bothered. He didn't follow up on anything and he acted like it was the seller's attorney's fault for not getting back to him. Then, at closing, he was buddy-buddy with the other lawyer. My impression: he has routinized his business, does the necessary minimum to get sales, and has taken on too many clients for his own good (it's just him and a secretary, who by the way was more helpful than he was, in the office).
