After being the victim of domestic abuse and protecting the person that had been abusing me for years (because of financial dependence) I finally got the courage to walk away. Only to have him abuse me in a different way. He lied to the police that I threatened him and got a retraining order against ...me, custody of my daughter and then he kicked me out the house with my son (not his child) knowing we had nowhere to go.
