Christina Silva

I am an attorney with almost three decades of experience in the area of employment law (management/defense litigation), workplace investigations, employer counseling, and training.  I represent and defend companies and management employees in state and federal court in the litigation of employment law matters in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, breach/enforcement of restrictive covenants, and wrongful termination. 

I conduct workplace investigations and render findings and recommendations for employment action. I conduct training for management and staff employees on anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies, workplace ethics, management best practices, performance management, company complaint and response mechanisms, and effective workplace investigations. Fully bilingual in Spanish, I am able to translate presentations and documents, and conduct workplace trainings and investigations for clients with a Spanish-speaking workforce.

I review and prepare documentation for corporate clients and management employees on issues involving employee discharge, disciplinary actions, employee leaves of absence, corporate restructuring and reductions in force, employee complaints, management compliance, drafting and enforcement of company policies, risk assessment, application and enforcement of state and federal employment laws.  I prepare personnel policies, employee handbooks, employment and confidentiality agreements, non-competition clauses, leave provisions, severance and separation agreements, mediation and position statements.  I represent management clients in state and federal court, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. 

I am a Fellow of the Academy of New Jersey Management Attorneys (ANJMA), a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, and have been listed in Best Lawyers in America and New Jersey Superlawyers since 2010.
