Anthony Arbore was excellent in handling my case. I was truly impressed by his knowledge of the municipal court my case was heard in. Anthony “Tony” and his team were OUTSTANDING. I had received a serious moving violation in the State of New Jersey and felt wrongfully accused, thinking I had a case to fight it. I am a senior executive from Manhattan, NYC, and not knowing the NJ laws well - in addition to having limited connection...s in this type of law - I did EXTENSIVE research on AVVO and other sites. After about 10-12 interviews with other attorney candidates (seriously), I hired Tony. He came off incredibly experienced, knew the judge, the prosecutor and even the police officers in the county of my infraction. I was mistakenly arrested but unable to prove my sobriety with the breathalyzer (which I wanted to take) because of a stomach ulcer which caused uncontrollable burping, resulting in a refusal charge on top of the DUI. Even though I was able to subsequently prove my medical condition with an endoscop...y, I was advised by several lawyer friends that in NJ you are presumed guilty, not innocent when it comes to DUIs. After a fair amount of inquiry, Mr. Abore was unanimously recommended as the best counsel available in this area to represent me on this charge. He did not over promise - in fact, he said that the odds were against an acquittal even at trial and that we might have to appeal. In the end, he was able to negotiate down to a lesser charge of failure to maintain lane, without any suspension of my license, which by all accounts of my attorney friends, was a virtual miracle. Mr. Arbore is very effective for several reasons: He knows and is well regarded by the local judges and prosecutors. He knows the law and specializes in DUI/DWI cases perhaps more than anyone else in the Morris County area. He is a former prosecutor himself. The judge and prosecutor always addressed him cordially and respectfully, owing to his background, experience and expertise. Finally - and not insignificantly - Mr. Arbore is just a good guy, He has a very professional, empathetic and effective assistant Kathy, who is the point of contact when Mr. Arbore is in court.
