I did not review Avvo prior to hiring this firm. I hired this attorney outside of Avvo. Paid the firm a large amount of money to write letters and make phone calls for an estate matter over the course of 10 months. The firm miscalculated the court filing fee. Meanwhile, I hired a NY law firm, paid ha...lf this amount and in 5 months, they have contacted the adversary and have prepared for filing 6 separate petitions for the court.

My Wife and I used Gary for our Bankruptcy and were immediately put at ease by his professionalism, knowledge, and guidance. Our process went very smoothly and Gary quickly and expertly handled some questions which were out of the norm. When we had our final hearing, it was straightforward and went a...s described. The interesting thing that came through was the obvious respect that the trustee had for Gary as their preparation and completeness obviously was top notch. My high recommendation for Gary and his firm, as they helped in our case also.

Mr. Hoffman made clear what felt to me like chaos; he made the impossible suddenly happen. I will start this review with reiterating Gary's excellent characteristics - Trustworthy, Responsive, Knowledgeable and Informative! He is easy to talk to, has a good sense of humor and is able to put things into perspective! And he was able to get my foreclosure dismissed! Things aren't over yet, bu...t Gary is there for me! When I first spoke with Gary I was in a panic. I have been in litigation with the mortgage company a few years and my attorney was moving out of the country and retiring. The case hadn't been expected to take this long. I was faced with an immediate need for an attorney to appear in court, had little to no money available to hire someone and the attorneys that would take my call were not interested in just "another" foreclosure case - no matter how different I thought mine was. Gary listened. He didn't rush me through my story. He spent copious amounts of time reading through background material and in a short amount of time appeared before the court and went to battle for me. The result is a dismissal of my foreclosure. Is it the end of the war? No. But I do believe that my "knight" will be there for me and see this through. He is tenacious. I respect him and know he is doing his best for me and I can ask for nothing more.
