Nothing but the best

Amy Cores is professional, knows the laws, always made herself available anytime (even weekends), and took the time to explain actions in my case. Several times in the courthouse while Amy was not near me for a moment, other attorneys approached me telling me that she was the best in NJ and that I w...as in good hands. I certainly did not need the reassurance that I selected the right attorney but more impressed that her fellow colleagues spoke so highly of her. Also, her staff is kind, courteous and professional. I highly recommend Cores & Associates for your custody case.

Stellar

My consultation with Amy was on a Sunday morning, proving to me that she is an unyielding (fabulously pink) workhorse. I went in feeling powerless and left feeling confident that she would advocate for me as well as my children. I was right. My case was difficult and of a delicate nature, she handl...ed it with great care and certitude. That kind of support during such a stressful time made all the difference. Her staff was kind, responsive and professional. I am thankful they were on my side and would be happy to give reference.

Terrible company. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I cannot even give this company 1 star! DO NOT USE THEM! They are terrible. They employ young office admin who took all my financial files to copy. They were returned to me a complete mess. They had been un-stapled and then just thrown in a file out of order when I collected them After an hour of try...ing to put them back together I had to give up. That was how much of a mess they left me with. When I told them I wanted them back as I had given them, they were surly and rude about it. I was also forced 3 times to sign a declaration that a document was accurate (under penalty of perjury) without being able to see the documents or check it for errors before hand. This is because they do everything last minute (and they admitted to this) and it is done by young admin who do not know what they are doing. When I did eventually receive a copy of the documents I had signed for, they were so factually incorrect that I was shocked. They had made up statements and there were so many basic spelling and grammatical errors that a high school student would have done a better job. I even had to correct these for them too. Despite these corrections, the documents were then sent to the court without being corrected and could not be amended. This made me look like I was a liar and the lawyers look incompetent! They will not call you back when they say they will and I have recorded all my conversations with this company. They are rude, not supportive and just about the money. They do not communicate basic information and employ one lawyer part-time, but will not tell you this up front. Anyone who wants to know more can contact me freely. I am making a formal complaint against them. STAY AWAY.

If you want and need the BEST....

I will start with my bottom line first: you can look far and wide and you will not find a more capable, competent, knowledgeable, professional, strategically brilliant attorney than Amy Sara Cores! I was incredibly fortunate to find her to take on my case and I credit her with rescuing my four childr...en and I from a litigation nightmare so dire that it felt like I was walking through the pits of hell. Ms. Cores was my fourth attorney (long story of lawyers not doing what they should have or in 2/3 even hurting my case). As soon as I began working with Ms. Cores, I dared to believe things would finally be handled efficiently and appropriately. I saw the professionalism and the dedication from day one. Only I have been blown away by how phenomenal Ms. Cores is! She got a handle on the case and turned it around in such a short time. Made me think that had I had her for my attorney from day one, three years ago when I filed for divorce, my divorce would have been over in 6 months. Save yourself the heartache and wasted litigation fees and hire Ms. Cores first. I cannot recommend her more highly! Also, please know that she truly knows how to handle bullies of all kinds. Many divorces go on way too long because you have one vindictive litigant represented by an incompetent and unscrupulous lawyer (true in the case of my soon to be ex and his buddy lawyer) and on the side of the reasonable litigant there is an attorney who is either also incompetent, uncaring, greedy or a pushover. You are safe from any of these concerns when being represented by Amy Cores- she will nip the nonsense in the bud, allowing the case to move forward and setting you free to commence your new life in the best possible standing. What more can anyone hope to gain from retaining the services of a family law attorney? It is priceless. A few last words of friendly advice from someone who made quite a few mistakes before retaining Cores & Assoc: look for credentials and do not make exceptions for lawyers who don't have them. Ms. Cores is highly credentialed, most of any attorney I found in NJ. Never use any attorney that is not certified matrimonial. Most non-family law attorneys have no idea what they are doing. It is like getting a broken limb treated by a dentist! Look at reviews (only reason I am writing this one is to help others), but allow for a few outliers. This means the attorney being reviewed is honest. I have known lawyers who have close to 100 perfect five star reviews and you later find out that they have any review that is not five stars removed. A truly great lawyer will have some along the way who have their feathers ruffled (like adversaries!). So, in closing of my possibly long-winded (because I am so dang grateful!) review: hire Amy Sara Cores and her exceptional firm, it will be the best decision you could make for yourself and your kids! You can thank me later!

A smart lawyer

I am a divorce lawyer with 30 years experience in the field and I retained Ms. Cores to handle my own "very high conflict" divorce in 2016. During the divorce process, Ms. Cores was attentive and responsive to my needs and had very good sense when advising and when negotiating with the other side. ... I write this review two years later. Most recently, I have had to return to court to enforce the order that Ms. Cores helped to draft. I was successful and I was awarded everything I asked for from the Judge because I had such a well written, clear, agreement. I am truly grateful to Ms. Cores for her skills in drafting my martial settlement agreement. and her expertise in the law. She is and intelligent woman and strong lawyer. I am in the business and I know a good lawyer when I see one.
