I would absolutely not recommend Ms Strauss for an attorney. Like another respondent said she is condescending, but more than that she will drain a retainer and do absolutely nothing. These are some things we asked her to do. Subpoena a bank signature card, and move a court date. She did neithe...r. We asked her to contact a writing analyst, which she didn't, and told us how much it would cost. We told her when we would have the money. She waited 5 days past that to respond as to who she found. One who accepts check or... Zelle. Seriously. Now since this was obviously time sensitive it was infuriating to say the least. We gave her what she wanted and stated to show we had more interaction with our Aunt who died than our sister who made a fake Last Will and Testament. To that, we asked to Subpoena her phone records, which she refused. (Mind you my sister, the one I talk now, but haven't for years had last real contact with her; which she dismissed.) What she'll do is call you "hostile" for keeping emails short as to not waste anymore money when you realize you are stuck with her. And truly, I think she works with other attorneys such as who we have to deal with now on our own, because there wasn't enough time for other attorneys to file who I talked to. She was a wasted of close to 3k, which we plan on going to the bar with our complaints. For someone who "defends" domestic violence victims, she sure doesn't have compassion or understanding on how the way things actually go, or care to... well as long as the lights are on at her house.
