About me

Jim Suozzo, a 1987 graduate of Rutgers College, worked at AT&T’s Education and Training Department from 1988 to 1991.  He then attended The University of Georgia School of Law in Athens and received his juris doctorate in 1995.

After graduating from Georgia, Jim began practicing in Atlanta for a litigation firm specializing in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters.  In 1997 Jim returned to his home state to join a small litigation practice which focused on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and landlord/tenant matters.

Jim then joined his current firm, the Law Offices of Robert J. McGuirl, as an associate in 1998.  He concentrates on matters involving products liability, personal injury, and insurance coverage and appears in the federal and state courts of New Jersey, plus neighboring states on a case-by-case basis.

Jim has lectured for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), the Bergen County Bar Association, the National Business Institute’s Center for Paralegal Education, and at Bergen Community College.  Seminar topics have included products liability, courtroom technology, and analyzing medical records.  He has also published articles in the New Jersey Lawyer and the Bergen Barrister

Since 2007, Jim has been co-chairman of the Bergen County Bar Association’s Products Liability Committee.
