Horrible person/terrible lawyer

Shannon is not a good person. I told him my brother died and he asked me if he left a will. This was not done in a consultation. This was at a Seder. I wrote to him on Facebook, explaining my disappointment and how inappropriate it was to do this. He responded with this: Then why did you mention it t...o me? Once one does, there is no censorship and you make no sense as I was trying to be helpful. If that made you uncomfortable enough to write to me like this on the gag after I invited you to take my father's seat at our Seder next time, don’t accept and presently seek counseling. Then I responded that it was inappropriate again. I brought it up not for legal advice and then he responded: "Im greatly sorry you are in turmoil. Think what you want, the Passover table is where you brought it up- not simply to advise me of his death and my questions if they never occurred to you should have. You need counseling badly and you appeared emotionless throughout- almost in a coma and your great hidden agitation was obvious to all . You don’t do yourself any good if that was the first matter you mentioned and he was a working doctor and you seek no answers." Then I responded: I just read this post. What you asked about whether my brother had a will is completely inappropriate. And rather apologize to me, you turned it around and blamed me for it. Whether I was I was in a coma or not (and I wasn't) doesn't give you the right to ask about a personal matter. And it didn't stop thee. You also tried to theorize why my brother took his life and you never met him. You are arrogant and acrimonious. You're always getting into fights with people". At my Shul, Shannon is constantly arguing with people. He is not a good person and not a good lawyer.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
