I almost want to nickname Steven Cohen as the “Comeback Kid” for my case. When I was served pretty aggressive divorce papers, I panicked and hired an attorney whom I eventually learned was highly inexperienced and incompetent in divorce /custody cases. I wasted a lot of time and money on that guy unt...il a friend recommended Mr. Steven Cohen. During my consultation with Steven, it immediately felt like I was in the right hands and someone actually knew what was going wrong and had the knowledge to fix it. I had other consultations before and one lawyer told me to stop crying and the other told me he’d only take on my case if I could prove I had $30,000 in my savings to cover the fees. Steven Cohen was not only a superior attorney when it came to knowing the law, but his compassion and encouragement towards me, as a client, was unexpected; he knew how to gently, but firmly tell me to when to let things or when I needed to get my $&@! together. Divorce is painful enough without dealing with who you can trust with your best interests. I can honestly say I that I always felt like Steven went above and beyond to protect my rights and never gave up on what I was entitled to. I can imagine how many times he’s had to answer the same questions from clients over and over again but Mr. Cohen never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question nor did he ever lose his patience with me.
