Claudia Alejandra Costa

Claudia A. Costa is Of Counsel to Kaufman Dolowich Voluck & Gonzo LLP in its Hackensack, New Jersey office. She specializes in the practice areas of employment law litigation on behalf of management, professional liability, and commercial litigation. Her extensive experience includes all stages of the litigation process in both state and federal court.

Ms. Costa has represented both individuals and corporations regarding a wide variety of business and employment matters including employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, harassment; restrictive covenants; breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder derivative suits; franchise agreement disputes; copyright and trademark infringement. Ms. Costa has also been involved in professional liability litigations concerning attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents and brokers.

Ms. Costa received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University, The School of Law where she was an editor of The Moot Court Board and a staff writer for The Environmental Law Journal. During law school, Ms. Costa served as an intern for the Honorable H. Lee Sorokin at the District Court of New Jersey and was an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in History from St. Peter’s College where she was a member of the History Honor Society. While in college, Ms. Costa was a court interpreter at the Hudson County Superior Court. She is fluent in Spanish, and currently, Associate Editor of the online Legal Malpractice Law Review.

Ms. Costa is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Northern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is also an inactive member of the bar of the District of Columbia.
